About This Campaign

Everyday Giant is more than a canvas—it’s a declaration of faith, courage, and creative power. This auction is my step into trusting my gift fully… believing that art can change lives, shift narratives, and support real people doing real work in our communities.

This moment is about taking control of my art, my voice, and my purpose. It’s about walking boldly into something I’ve never done before and trusting that the right person will see the value, feel the heart behind it, and join me in making an impact.

This auction isn’t just about supporting my artistry—it’s about supporting the community that shapes me.

30% of proceeds will be donated to:

  • Proximity Collective — a Black-owned coworking space rooted in collaboration, creativity, and community.
  • Youthset — a program bridging young people, home life, community support, and positive role models.

This is my expression of love, gratitude, and belief that art can uplift, empower, and make change. Together, we can pour into organizations that help our people grow, thrive, and be seen.

Created during my fifth year mentoring youth in the Teens Perspective program at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, Everyday Giant was born from reflection, healing, and the celebration of Black joy.

The Teens Perspective program, sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield, explores how racism affects health equity and gives young artists a space to share their stories through art. This year’s theme focused on Black Joy and self-reflection after the murder of George Floyd.

This piece carries the weight of resilience, hope, identity, and the belief that joy can be a form of resistance—and restoration.

This 4-day auction is my way of:

  • Stepping out in faith and trusting the path laid before me

  • Reclaiming my creative journey and taking control of my art

  • Using illustration as a tool for healing, empowerment, and love

  • Supporting community leaders and local organizations through giving

  • Reminding someone out there that they, too, are a giant in their everyday life

  • Inviting my community to uplift and support this moment of growth

I truly hope Everyday Giant reaches someone’s heart.

  • A bid is binding if you are selected as the winner.

  • The winning bidder must complete the purchase within 48 hours of notification.

  • If the winning bidder does not complete the purchase, the next highest bidder will be contacted.

  • 30% of proceeds from the sale will be donated to Proximity Collective and Youthset.

  • Shipping details will be coordinated privately with the winning bidder.
